The dynamic consultation with local accountants and bookkeepers is scheduled to start from Sept/Oct 2019.

By special invitation

We are looking for co-operation from 17 local accountants (to be known as Companions or Associates) in each of the local territories listed below.

Short Term Time Line

We expect to have all our companions and associates fully briefed and ready for action by 31st October 2018.

Bookkeeping Connections is not a professional or trade association in the traditional sense. It is a community of practice for bookkeepers, software technicians and business administrators.

1. The pivital role of the accountant/client relationship is vital and should not be underestimated..
2. We will forge a close working relationship with all accounting and bookkeeping institutes and their members
3. As mentioned in item (2) above, a similar relationship is under consideration with the FSB, the British Chambers of Commerce and the Institute of Directors.  
4. We will consider colaboration, subject to specifically determined policy and objectives with selected industrial and/or professional associations, without duplicating or competing with their internal membership services.
5. Our brand management and related CPD activities must not undermine in any way our statement of intent in items (2), (3) & (4) above

BY INVITATION ONLY

We estimate 550 chartered accountants-in-practice in Surrey and 2,500, currently operating in the London territories. Approx 250 are affiliated to the Sage/TAS Accountants Club and/or the QuickBooks Professional Adviser Program.

Founder Companions

We are looking for 47 participants to assist us with regular workshops and less time consuming tasks, subject to a profit related performance contract. Delivery of first workshops is scheduled for mid-February 2013.

Founder Associates

Invitations will be sent out and the terms of reference agreed individually, subject to a profit related performance contract.. Initially, reservations will be limited to 197, until the business model is running effectively and has a proven track record.

TIME LINES:

Associate Applications - reservations and deposit start from  £57, subject to terms
to be received no later than 4th January 2013

Companion applications - Subject to detailed private discussion and performance contract.

Local consultation meetings, Open mornings and Workshops in Surrey & London

commence from Monday 4th February 2013

Historically speaking?

Bookkeeping dates back several centuries. Fra Luca Bartolomeo de Pacioli (sometimes Paciolo) (1446 – 1517) was an Italian mathematician and Franciscan friar, collaborator with Leonardo da Vinci, and seminal contributor to the field now known as accounting, for which he is often regarded as the "Father of Accounting"

We (Bookkeeping Connections) do not have members, only subscribers, who share our vision and are willing to consider a mutually profitable "performance related business relationship" which will benefit the SME owners and managers.
